Flow

This new year, may we mimic more of water and less of steel, for water possesses incredible strength and yet does not come across aggressively.

Water will gently expose any weaknesses in its holding vessel with a silent gentle leak and yet water will adapt itself to any vessel it finds itself in by assuming the same shape as that vessel.

Water will carve out landforms like no other and strong enough to carry the largest aircraft carrier made of steel.

Water will rise or lower itself to any level it needs to. When water is not properly stored, it quickly and quietly evaporates to escape the toxicity.

Water does all these things and yet presents itself gently enough for a child to feel safe jumping into it without thinking how hard or aggressive it is.

Take water for granted and it will drown you.

No wonder a certain great teacher took water and converted it to wine.

Was he communicating that if we live our lives like water, our lives will be transformed to become like fine wine? The wine which represents joy, celebration and happiness?

Just a thought.

I hope I can mimic more of water and less of steel this new year.

Happy new year to all !!!
