Kevin had a few exchanges with his friend who hung out at Greg and Jeff’s last weekend, the friend who posted a social media photo in their living room. It turns out that the night was initiated by Greg messaging her out of the blue, extending the invitation for her and her husband to come over unprompted. She herself admitted it was unexpected, as they are nothing but acquaintances — acquaintances who hadn’t seen each other in quite a while no less.

It dawned on me from the timeline of events — his seemingly random invitation to the closest of our friends at his disposal when things are still v much unsettled between us– that this was targeted at me. He invited Claire to his house after receiving my email about my very fraught, very immediate trip to Denver to see my family.

He was purposefully trying to destabilize me further when he knew I was in an incredibly vulnerable situation. 
I feel very uncomfortable … and a little scared.
