This time last week, I told my boss I’m grateful to work at a place that doesn’t try to punish a good product out of its employees. But rather they see the traits that they want to see more of and then water them and watch it grow.
He told me when he founded this company, he wanted to build an organization where each member within it individually wanted the collective as a whole to survive. He dreamed of a company that would would fight every single day for the right to stay together and help each other thrive —
And then he said, “Tim, you bring so much value exactly as you are today.”
And I thought, wow, no one outside of my husband has ever said that to me in my entire life.
I woke up exhausted again this morning, but I took a swig of coffee and I turned my computer on.
I woke up this morning, and I went straight to work, exactly as I am.
