I have an uncle who went completely blind from glaucoma when he was 19. I was the only kid with glasses — and, honestly, I’ve always been more afraid of losing my vision than I am afraid of dying.

Well, both work and school are completely dependent on my ability to use a computer, and my family is all in Denver.

If I lost my vision, I’d be left unable to wor, and I’d have to learn to navigate a still-strange city with absolutely no one familiar around to support me.
