
I’m still so struck by fall. It’s only the second year I’ve been able to see the bursting gradients of red and green w my Enchroma glasses, after 30 years of being colorblind. The weepy senescence of spring that explodes both brightly and subdued.//
I’m as much a product of Trump country as the next cowboy at my high school — prone to dichotomous thinking. //
Either or //
Black or White //
Family or Enemy //
Safety or Danger //
But I’m starting to learn the in-between. The gradients of color within the ones I’ve never seen. The gradients between them. There’s a middle path in everything. It’s complicated, messy, and so fucking beautiful //
You just gotta look at it in a different way 👀
