I’m interested in your thoughts!

I just read this in a book of essays from my favorite feminist writer, Rebecca Solnit.

It seemed resonate, especially in light of my mania these past years to block solely the people who have been systematically hurting my feelings w their inability to take ownership of their actions — I feel like each phone number I’ve blocked has been my increasing growth toward traditional manhood: my learning to “maintain the integrity of the boundary that divides me from the world.”

Whether I’m falling victim to a central tenet of masculinity, or simply turning it on it’s head so it can become something else — only time will tell!
