I’m personally a fan of government services — as they are provided from tax dollars I am okay with paying.

With the understanding that top talent can find more lucrative work in the private sector, it makes sound sense, to me at least, to incentivize highly skilled professionals to stay in public service with a competitive and secure benefits package.

Doing so, balances out the lesser pay they are to expect in their role.
