I met a geographer at a party tonight. He asked me why I was getting into maps, and I told him.

I’m really interested in borders, because they’re being re-drawn whether we want them to be or not. I just want to be part of that conversation.

He touched my arm and said “I have so much to say about borders.”

And he did.

But, oh, did I have some things to say, too.
